THIS# WEEK SATURN REACHES OPPOSITION — ITS CLOSEST, BIGGEST, AND BRIGHTEST ALL YEAR.
THE ORIGINAL STAR GAZER SAID IT BEST.
Go out any night the next few# weeks about two hours after sunset face east and it will be the brightest# star-like object in this part of the sky.
AT OPPOSITION SATURN IS FULLY LIT FROM OUR# VIEWPOINT, AND IT TECHNICALLY HITS ON SUNDAY, BUT.
although we say that a planet is in opposition# for only one day nevertheless for visual purposes it is almost as good for viewing for a# couple of weeks before and after opposition IT’LL REACH ITS HIGHEST POINT AT ABOUT ONE AM.# THAT’S THE BEST TIME TO VIEW, WHY AGAIN, JACK?
all planets are better for viewing# when they are at their highest SO GET THAT TELESCOPE OR BINOCULARS# AND LOOK FOR THE LORD OF THE RINGS.
